Our Struggle
As the Director of The Squeegie Project, I want to share with you the raw and honest truth about our journey. We are a tech start-up with a deep community focus, striving to equip Black Opportunity Youth with essential skills for the future. Our mission is ambitious! #Fullstop Further, every step requires substantial financial resources.
Innately, I understand the hoops I must jump through to fund this program; but not a day goes by where I don’t want to scream, “Why is this so difficult! We can fix things!” Instead of hitting the trenches like I’d like to, some days are filled with literally begging for the resources we need.
This is the struggle.
It takes resources—money, time, and unwavering commitment—to turn our vision into reality. Our programs, from filmmaking and AI optimization to app design, all need funding for equipment, materials, and participant support. Every dollar we receive directly impacts our ability to provide these vital opportunities to Black opportunity youth.
We are committed to this project because we see potential in every young person we work with. They are eager, talented, and ready to learn, but without the necessary resources, our impact is limited. Your support can help us overcome these hurdles and expand our reach, offering more youth the chance to build a brighter future.
